Barry Ridge's professional trainers will each be offering a one-day weekend horse training clinic in the equestrian center's heated indoor show ring in early 2010. Whether you and your horse are active participants, or elect to just audit a session, this is a great learning opportunity at a first class facility.

We have an experienced staff of trainers available to meet all your equestrian needs from riding lessons to intensive training, along with some of the most modern, user-friendly facilities in the area. HEIKE FLEUCHAUS is a graduate of Lakeshore Technical College, with an Associate Degree in Equine Management. She has worked for over 20 years for private warmblood breeding farms as a farm manager, breeding manager and assistant trainer with an emphasis in dressage. Heike is a certified equine massage practitioner. Heike's approach to training focuses on:

HORSE DRESSAGE: EMPHASIZING CLASSICAL SEAT & POSITION
Small group instruction in a modern, heated indoor riding facility. Space is limited! Call 262-677-0515 to sign up.

1-day training clinic focusing on position awareness and its relationship to the horse's performance. You will discover new ways to sit quietly and use the "less is more" approach to getting the most out of your horse. If your expectation is for your horse to be a superior athlete, you need to learn to be one as well. Utilizing unique "out-of-the-box" techniques, you and your horse will benefit from small group instruction of three or less horse and riders at one time.

APRIL WILLIAMS-GINNS moved to Wisconsin from England in 2001. April's equine background includes 15 years training with the British Horse Society and became an international rider. Her riding experience focused on the three disciplines of Show Jumping, Dressage and Cross Country which has given her a well rounded knowledge of Classical Riding. She is now a riding instructor and her knowledge suits both the Western and English rider. April is an Ambassador for Nutrena, she is now one of the team clinicians.

JUMPING - FOR HORSES AND RIDERS FROM BEGINNING TO ADVANCED

Professional Trainer APRIL WILLIAMS-GINNS, an international rider and instructor trained by the British Horse Society,  will focus on developing an understanding of your horse and offer a clear and positive approach while emphasizing safety and riding enjoyment.  All riders must wear hard hats. Three sessions will be offered, for riders, age 8 and up:

Beginner: 8:30 am  
Green horse OR rider.  Just started jumping and has done minimal cavalletti or cross poles.

Intermediate: 11 am
Horse and rider comfortable with cross poles to 30 inches.  

Advanced: 2 pm
Jumping regularly over 3 ft. and wishing to or currently involved in show jumping.

REBECCA BISHOP is offering riding lessons for beginners to advanced students. Rebecca has 20+ years of experience teaching beginner to advanced riders of all ages in Dressage, Huntseat, and Western. Her goal is to give the horse and their owner a solid foundation to have a positive and rewarding partnership.
