A B O U T  U S...

After being around during hundreds of lessons, plenty of horse shows and Brianna's horses, Kathy decided to get her own horse, and embraced the opportunity to start her own business. Barry Ridge Equestrian Center became a reality with Kathy's dream. She went back to her roots when deciding on a name for the new business, and used her grandmother's maiden name, Barry, as her inspiration.

Today Barry Ridge Equestrian Center is a modern full service equestrian facility serving horse lovers of all ages and horses representing several of the most popular breeds on a picturesque 70 acre site.

Kathy now rides a little quarter Horse mare, Chipin With Luck (Pebbles), excelling in Western Dressage competition!

Late last fall Kathy decided to take a chance on a three year old Quarter Horse. His name is Boy Im Good (aka William or Prince William). She hopes to one day show him in traditional dressage, but for now  Kathy is riding western dressage and enjoying riding her great minded five year old around the property!

Brianna started riding Appaloosas at the age of 8 after her mom decided she was old enough to stay on! By age 10, she and her horse, High Bar Moon (Calli), were High Point Youth All Around winners for 3 years in a row, and was top 10 in the nation for HUS and Western Pleasure classes. She also finished 3rd at the Youth World Show in Oklahoma City in Hunter Under Saddle with Calli. At age 13, Brianna continued to excel on McWiloughby (Willie) making the finals in HUS at the Youth World Show.

While moving from a boarding facility, to opening and running Barry Ridge she transitioned to the American Quarter Horse Association competition on T.J. Superior Sonny. The pair won a variety of WQHA circuit awards. She also showed Ex Officio in the Aged Halter Geldings, winning 1st in the state of Wisconsin and 6th in the nation for the Youth Aged Halter Geldings. Her horse also finished 4th in the nation for Open Aged Halter Geldings, shown by Brian and Andy Ellsworth.

Brianna then won multiple circuit awards with Anonymous Asset, and was a semi-finalist in HUS at The All American Quarter Horse Congress while under the instruction of Larry and Rhonda Spratto.

She leased a Shire/Warmblood cross named Nemo and learned as much as she could about dressage in the summer she leased him. They had wonderful scores all summer and ended the last show with a few blue ribbons!

Brianna also shows her horse Acoolest Jewel (Jay) at Quarter Horse shows, in Western Dressage and has recently started riding him in traditional dressage. She's owned him since he was 6 months old and has enjoyed every step of the way in becoming a wonderful team with him.

Summer 2018, Brianna is excited to announce her new partnership with Saintsational (Saint) where they will be riding traditional dressage in hopes of getting their bronze medal some day!

Her wide experience across several stock breeds and competitive classes provide a solid equestrian background to provide you and your horse quality care and attentive service.

Kathy and Brianna are a mother/daughter duo, who share a passion for horses. Kathy's maternal grandmother, Eileen Pausch, who had a passion and love for horses that she passed along to her granddaughter, Kathy, and great-granddaughter, Brianna. As the story goes, it all started back in Ireland, where Kathy's (and Brianna's) great, great, great, great grandmother was of Irish nobility and was set in an arranged marriage. However, she was not in love with that man, and she ran away with the stable boy to America instead!
